geysers by Aleann & Jaxon

Do you know what a geyser is ? It is like a small volcano. It shoots out water when rocks from the bottom heat up the water that flows underneath the ground. The most famous geyser in the world is Old Faithful.
If you would like to see many active geysers you should go to Yellowstone National Park. It has over 2500 active geysers. It has the worlds greatest collection of geysers.
Geysers form in places where water flows below the surface. When the water shoots into the air the water is very hot but not boiled.
